Clear liquids the day of surgery?

i got the call yesterday and my surgery is scheduled for Monday at 1 PM! I have to arrive at 11:30, which is nice because the hospital is an hour and a half drive from my home. I have been told clear liquids only for Sunday then on Monday until 10:30 AM?

Anyone else allowed clear liquids the day of surgery ?

I was only allowed water up to 4 hours before my surgery.

Yep. My instructions were- "you may drink up to 1 cup (250ml) of a clear fluid 3 hours before your surgery...this is a drink you can see through, eg apple juice, clear tea, water, or black coffee (no milk or creamer). Clear fluids do no include alcohol. Do not have candy or chew gum."
