Tail bone trouble

I was wondering if any of you experienced tail bone pain as you lost weight? I can't sit for any length of time and it aches. I have to brace myself for the surge of pain I feel when I stand up. I spoke to the centre physiotherapist a few weeks ago and we agreed it is likely because I have "less padding" then before. Has anyone experienced this and if so did it pass?

This is common, and it will get better. I found that once I did exercises to build my butt muscles it helped a lot.

This is interesting. I have lost most of my weight on my bottom but I have not experienced this pain at all (and I expected to). I wonder if it has been because of the weight training I have been doing?

Yes it's very common. I'm sitting on a donut cushion as we speak. My experience is that it makes itself known and then my body adjusts and I don't notice it so much. Then I drop a bit more and the same thing happens. The dietitian told me that our skeletons adjust as we lose the weight so it will get better, then hurt again then better etc. Work on the butt muscles too!

Yes, I've noticed some tail bone pain when sitting on certain surfaces. My padding is disappearing :P your body will get used to it.

yes! My friends laugh cause I told them its cause I've lost padding and body is just adjusting.

But as others have said I find it comes in waves while my body adapts.
