Shame is the biggest nsv

my sleeve surgery was March 22/18. I'm down 50 lbs and feeling so good, so happy, so energetic. I realized a few days ago how much shame I carried in those 50 lbs. I dress myself and go out into the world without that now, feeling like a "normal" person, not needing to hide my belly or my neck or anything else. And I cross my legs like crazy whenever I please. I didn't realize how much shame I carried until now.

Move had to get new underwear as the old stuff was falling off, and it felt so good to chose something pretty. And some summer dresses , size MEDIUM! Not XL or 2X. I used to say I bought my clothes from Omar the Tentmaker. Not anymore. Pennington 's is a distant memory.

my friends tell me I look 20 years younger. That's better than I expected. Way better.

im more than half way so goal. I haven't weighed this little since I went through chemo. I'll take this method of weight loss any day! It's hard to imagine being lighter than this, but I've felt that ever since I started this journey. I'm just following the rules and I keep breaking those barriers.

onwad and upwards! And thanks to all of you for sharing all your stories and challenges. I learn more every day from all of you. I send you all love and deep gratitude.

Sounds like you're doing good, it's funny how you get used to buying big clothes and then the first one you grab in the store is too big, even though it's a lot smaller than you were.

The shame is a terrible thing. It was never my size that kept me from enjoying my life, it was my shame of my size that stopped me.

I was not a fast loser but who cares as long as you get there! I know the newbies check the trackers and the signatures so although I kind of lost track of how the rest of the weight came off, you should know that it was not fast and furious but it was slow and steady!

current BMI 24.7 that, my friends, is NORMAL!!! Strong is the new pretty!
