Quick Update
Hi Everyone,
I've been absent from the board lately as I have had a lot going on. I was in a car accident. Pretty sure the car is a "right off" (still waiting to find out) but I'm ok (at least physically - emotionally it is draining). Starting physio soon but I have been unable to work out so things are at a standstill for me.
This month I have only lost 2 pounds, but I am feeling very fit and I know that I have lost inches. All of the size small clothing that I bought last month is now too big for me. I am wearing xs small now. It's unbelievable to me, but I really think it the weight lifting that has redefined my body shape. It's amazing actually.
Some carbs are creeping into my life..not a lot, but I'm ok with it. I am still eating a healthy clean and fresh diet heavy on protein and veggies. I think for all of the "lifting" I am doing, my body is craving them.
I will post some progress pics once I am feeling better.

Car crashes suck, they take a lot out of you and really shake you up, glad to hear you're doing okay, but it can take weeks till you get back to feeling "normal".

Thanks Michelle. Never been in one in my life and I have been driving for 40 years. It was a young kid who was driving the other car. I was going 80k and he just turned in front of me - no time for me to think. ...still processing what happened!

So sorry to hear about the accident. I had a similar one when I was 19 and still think about it every time I go by where it happened 28 years later. I hope you're feeling better soon.
Thanks so much Jelsey.

Well...the paramedics told me I was lucky to be alive so I am grateful. One of them also said it was probably because I was driving a Volvo. It was a new car to me (used 2013 convertible only 10thou k on it, plus 2013 was the last year they were made) and I flew out of the province to pick it up and then drove it home. We actually purchased it the morning of my surgery! So needless to say, yes, cars can be replaced, but I don't think we are going to be able to replace this one....still waiting to hear from the adjuster...
Thanks,
Barb

Barb yes cars can be replaced, but you can't. Volvo's were great cars for solid construction. Thank goodness that you are going to be OK. Do the PT and give yourself time to heal properly. Big hugs.
