I had my follow up with the dietician this morning. She gave me two thumbs up. That is my third signature so I am approved for referral to a surgeon. I should find out next week when my pre-op nutrition class will be. It feels like I've been running a marathon the last few months and it is just such a relief. I was so afraid I would be turned down. In theory the surgeon could still say no, but I'm not so afraid of that. Now I can just focus on making changes and getting ready.

She asked me today for my hospital preference, London (University) or Toronto (Michael Garron or St. Michaels). I think there are pros and cons for each of them, so I said "no preference." I want wherever is quickest to get in. I will consider it meant to be.

I just had to share my excitement. :)

Congratulations! The next surgery education class is June 18 in Windsor perhaps I will see you there. It's still early in our journey but it's great to have support from others who have been down this road before.
