Aw, she is so sweet!

Five years ago, my husband and I visited a fertility specialist. He flat out said to me that I wouldn't be alive in ten years and it would be cruel to put a child through that. It wasn't a conscious decision but I gave up after that. I was just waiting to die. Needless to say, I fell into a deep depression. My psychiatrist helped me to see that my weight was the root cause (I know, Duh!, right?). He referred me to the medical weight loss program. Another doctor told me that if I can get surgery, I should get surgery. Once I started thinking about it, a kernel of hope blossomed within me. With surgery, there is a possibility that I can have a future. I can LIVE and that's not something I have ever really done; I've existed. I wish now that I hadn't wasted so much time, but I'm looking forward and hoping that surgery will allow me to do so many of the things I've dreamed of doing, or been afraid of doing.

That is so encouraging!!! I KNOW that you can turn this around!!! Keep dreaming and doing and don't EVER STOP LIVING! I too have suffered from depression since I was about 17 years old. NEVER give up because the world needs and wants you around. xoxoxo
