normal

Today I officially weighed in, for the first time ever as an adult, with a NORMAL BMI!!!

This was my long term goal, one that my centre told me I shouldn't focus on. One that I thought I would never achieve without plastics (cue happy dance ).

I stayed the course, I went through a period of more than 2 months in Jan-March where I stayed within the same 2 pounds and thought that I was done losing. Thought that maintenance had begun. I was ok with that, but finally something changed and the losing started again. Now I am down another 8-9 lbs since then and finally achieved what I had been hoping for.

I am so happy!

Whoever is reading this, wondering if this journey is worth it? wondering if all the hard work is worth it? is the sacrifice worth it? YES. YES. 100 times YES!

OMG!! I am soooooo happy for you.

I can totally relate. Just this morning I was wondering if I will ever get to my goal weight because I am loosing so slow now. I am still 3 pounds overweight (wearing a size 6 but hey??!!) and I know in my head that it doesn't really matter, but I have come this far and really want to be able to say that I am a "normal" weight. Congratulations. You are an inspiration for me today and give me so much hope!!!!!!!

Congratulations!!!! That is amazing!!!

It's so true our centres tell us not to focus on that... and I guess that's good advice because what you have accomplished is very rare and very difficult. Perseverance and hard word do get you there. Congratulations again and thanks for reminding us it is possible!!!!

Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. Choose happy.

Congratulations! Wow, I have watched your progress over the last year as our stats are similar (I started at 227) and our surgeries were only 4 days apart! As of this morning, I weighed in at 139.8 which has JUST put me into the healthy BMI bracket as well at 5? 3?! Unbelievable!

Wishing you health and happiness on your continued journey!
