Why I haven't been around!
Sorry for having been so MIA lately. Here's the situation. My surgery had been planned for March 29th, due to complications my RNY was not completed. I had too much scar tissue from a previous surgery that my surgeon did not feel comfortable completing the RNY. He did however remove all the scar tissue and closed me up. When I woke up I was told that it hadn't been done. A little while later my surgeon came to my room and explained everything and that we could go back in a complete it in a few months. My new date has been scheduled for May 30th. I will have do to the liquid diet yet again but at least I know he will be able to complete the procedure safely the next time around. Sorry I haven't been around but although I know he made the right decision I still was mopping slightly in self pity that I would have to go through everything again. I hope every has been doing well.

That's a bummer! No fun having two surgeries that's for sure.
At least you now know that the next time you go in, it will be done and you can be on your way.
It won't be long now! :)

Thanks! And you're right it won't be long now 42 days and counting. It truly took me a couple weeks to wrap my head around it and the thought of having to recover from surgery again. I was almost wavering on just leaving things be a go on the way I am. But alas I dusted myself off and am encouraged and ready for the next... My main journey... I have been labeling the last experience my mini journey...lol

You have a great attitude and I'm glad you were able to dust yourself off.
I had 2 surgeries within 3 days due to a complication and I know how hard it is physically and mentally. I was really thrown for a loop. So although our situations are different, I feel your pain.
It will all be worth it in the end, I promise.

Hi LeiLei,
I'm truly so sorry you woke up and didn't have your RNY. I remember pre-surgery how worried I was that this could happen, and i can't even imagine how disappointed you were. I'm so glad you have "dusted yourself off" so to speak, and even more thrilled that they were able to remove the scar tissue and give you an upcoming date for RNY. No doubt this one will actually happen: they've seen your insides and know what to expect. :)
Hang in there girl. It's a blip in the road, but it will be worth it for sure. Your attitude and positivity is inspiring. ((Hugs))

Sorry you had to go through that. The one silver lining is that it can be done, but obviously your safety and health was paramount in your first surgery.
Good luck with your second surgery!
