I had my first appointment with a personal trainer tonight at the Gym to get me set up on a program. Loved her. She gets me and that's so important. I really feel she's no nonsense and will push me to do my best. I need that. I am so looking forward to building some strength and endurance.

The Y in Waterdown is getting ALL NEW cardio equipment over the next couple of weeks and the Gym is being redesigned. Looks like a perfect time to be starting a new program.

That is awesome that you found a place and a trainer that you feel comfortable and relaxed with. That's so super important; I know that when you're feeling awkward and anxious about a gym, we suddenly easily find reasons not to go.

Good luck - progress pics and NSVs ahead!! :)

That's awesome! I hope you enjoy it in the end...that's what keeps you going back is if you end up enjoying the exercise. Sounds like you've already made a connection with your personal trainer, yay! The only time I ever stuck to an exercise program was boot camp where the group became friends and it made it enjoyable to go. I'm hoping to take up kickboxing after I've lost more weight, it was my favourite part of the boot camp!

That is wonderful. You are doing so well. Your body is going to reward your hard work and surprise the hell out of you.

The most amazing thing that has happened to me after WLS is being able to exercise and that great feeling of being stronger. I used to waddle across the parking lot, now it's more of a half run half walk.
