Half way there - 6-1/2 weeks out
Hard to believe I'm halfway to my goal at 6-1/2 weeks out, I've been trying to set mini goals along the way to stay motivated. Next one is to get below 200 haven't been there since I quit smoking 26 years ago.
Unfortunately although everyone else seems to see changes, other than in my face I don't really see it, I know a few of my clothes are too big (along with all my bras, good bye boobs), but I still haven't gone down a full pants size, being apple shaped I'm seem to clinging to inches there.
I'm getting bloodwork done today, and see my Endocrinolgist next week, but I'm still taking all the same meds, my blood sugars a lot lower, we'll see if she wants to make changes. I guess I've had diabetes too long and won't get that total remission I'd hoped for. I get to see my Cardiologist the end of the month at least I know they'll both be pleased with the weight loss (no more lectures) who knows if my heart is getting any healthier.
Sounds like I'm disappointed, and I'm not really, it's just the biggest motivating factor for the surgery was my many health issues and there's been no "overnight" improvement, but I'm still hoping for changes.
Thanks for listening to me vent.

That's amazing! I think we had surgery the same week.
I've also been setting mini goals...some are so mini, they probably only make sense to me. haha.
I'm down 53lbs since opti-fast, and I know I'm slimmer but I'm having trouble seeing it. Others are noticing. I'm in the same boat where I can tell that my shirts are getting bigger, but my pants pretty much all fit the same. However, if you aren't measuring, do so! Because despite not feeling the change in my pants, I have gone down inches in my waist and hips.
I hope you get good news at the doctor's regarding your other health issues and that they improve! A lot of things on this journey take time and hopefully time will help!

Okay so I came home and checked I've lost 4-1/2" off my waist and hips so they are getting smaller, which makes me feel a bit better, also some of my size smaller pants are jeans with no spandex so they don't have give probably only another inch to go to get down there. So maybe next week. Thanks for the input.

After I had my baby (git pregnant three months after surgery) i was in a size 14... WHAT?!?!?! I was a size 20 when i got pregnant and now a size 14!! Trust the process
