Officially on Maintenance

I have been so blessed that everything has gone so smoothly for me so far.

Went to Windsor on Wednesday for my 6 month followup and they are very pleased. Don't want me losing any more weight, nor do I, so now on to maintenance. All my blood work was great.

Lately its been dealing with the good old head hunger and like before starting this process it seem to be worst in the evening, but I am fighting the urges.

This coming week I am setting up my own work out area in the basement. I am not much for going to gyms so very excited about having it in my basement. DH bought me a work out bench and weights, I have my exercise bike, bands and ab roller, everything I need. My job involves lots of walking so have been getting lots of steps in.

So very grateful for every ones suggestions and support on this site. I am not always posting but read everyday. Also I must say the support I receive from Windsor Hotel Dieu is big, this program is excellent for those looking into weight loss surgery.

Thanks for your post.

I started trying to lose after my first nutrition class appointment prior to my surgery. The day of surgery I weighted 234 lbs, so there was that much less I had to lose post op.

Now I have to work at keeping it off.

You have done great to get to Goal in 6 months. I was 275 and got to 165. I'm 5 years out. Last 6 months I'm up 10 lbs. personally I would try and lose another 10 to give you room for bounce back because trust me it happens.

Thanks for you response Monica.

I had lost some weight prior to surgery, so not all lost post op.

Appreciate the advice.
