Progress!!
Hi Everybody!!
Just wanted to update you on my progress. I know when I was waiting for my surgery I really depended upon other people's progress to keep me going, so I hope the pictures that I am posting will help.
I wanted to do this 2 weeks ago when I was 6 months out, but I have been crazy busy with my business lately. I have also been in a bit of a stall. I was in a stall for about 3 weeks where the scale was not moving one bit. I weighed in the morning, I weighed in the evening, I weighed with clothes on, I weighed without, and it would not budge. It was really weird. Anyway good news is that I have lost 2 pounds within the last four days so I'm feeling better about that.
I have been lifting weights 3x a week and I absolutely love it!! We have a new puppy as well so I have been walking him daily - sometimes 2x a day. I had a major sugar craving a few weeks ago. Kept it at bay by eating dates and figs (I know they are loaded with sugar, but I was trying to at least eat real food), then one morning about a week ago, I had no more cravings at all. Again - weird. But so thankful because I thought I was doomed!! So, I know that probably the extra carbs and weight lifting contributed to my stall.
Anyway, technically I have 29 pounds left to lose, (a goal I set for myself), but honestly I will be happy if the scale stops in about 10 pounds or so. That is what I need to lose to no longer be "overweight". I know to some I look like I could stop losing now, but this is around the weight I always was "pre-weight gain", and when I was this weight so many years ago, I always wanted to lose those extra 10 - 20 pounds, so I figure why not see where this wls gets me. Also I carry most of my excess weight on my hips and legs, so I know I could easily lose more weight there. However, I am really happy with how strong I have become through fitness and weights and I love the way clothes are feeling on me at the moment.
A couple of years ago, when I was considering wls, I walked into a "regular" clothing store that had a massive sale. I was so sad that nothing in the entire store would fit me and I decided right there that it was time to change my weight. On that day I bought some clothes in a "size small" hoping that someday they would fit me. Well, today is the day! I have included some new clothes that I just bought as well.
Thanks for listening and have a great day everyone!

Thanks. I just bought them. I have a favourite store now...it's called "Denise" at Mapleview Mall in Burlington. Everything seems to fit me well there and I love their styles. That's where I got those pants.

Congrats on your loss so far! The clothes are awesome! You should be very proud. Keep working your program and get as low as you can in your weight to account for possible regain/bounce back.
Head hunger and cravings DO come back. Get mentally prepared for it.
Keep up the great work!
