Surgery done
Just had my surgery yesterday. I am in sooo much pain and now I have a fever. They are keeping me an extra day/night to monitor. If the fever doesn't break I might have to go back to the or. I am freaking out. Did anyone else have something similar happen???
I had to have a second surgery 4 days after my original RNY. It was a bowel issue. Lots of pain as I recall, but pain meds got it under control pretty quick. I had a fever after the second surgery. I'm not sure if I had it before as well. Have they sent you for a CT Scan? What hospital are you in?
So let's try to breathe and calm a bit. You are in the hospital, and in the right place, at the right time, for the Team to assess you and fix whatever may be wrong.
As much as a second surgery sucks, (if necessary), these Surgeons are wonderful and very talented. They will fix whatever is going on.
I know it's hard to be positive right now, but I am sure things will sort out.
Keep us posted.
