NSV
i am in Las Vegas at a trade show this week and had my first occasion to fly since early December of last year.
I always dread flying because of the embarrassment and anxiety over the seat size and the belt buckle. Asking for the seatbelt extender in hushed tones and then trying to wedge myself into the seat has always been a mortifying experience for me.
this time was different I eased into my seat with room to spare my seatbelt was LOOSE and I actually had to tighten it to make it snug.
what a great feeling

It's the best eh!!! Congratulations!!! I flew a few weeks ago, and previously always had to ask for a seatbelt extender too. I was sooo thrilled too when not only did I not, but I could tighten the seatbelt with some room. Haha
I took a pic and sent it to a friend. I was so excited!!!

I love that you took a picture.
The other thing that I really noticed was that I was able to maneuver easily, change positions, cross my legs with room to spare, etc. etc. I always dreaded it if it I had to go to the bathroom because I would have to heave myself out of that damn seat and crawl awkwardly across seats. It was humiliating.
Now, no issues. I'm normal. Just typing that brings tears to my eyes.
I am so glad I had this surgery. No regrets at all. This has been a liberating, and life changing experience. I'm going to be one of the people who asks, "why didn't I do this sooner?" LOL

Oh, and the tray!! Bringing down that tray and having room. :)
And for me... why didn't I do it sooner? I wasn't ready. Lol. You... I dunno. :)

That is wonderful! I'm guessing vacations bring a lot of NSV's. Honeymoon is an appropriate term!! Congrats and enjoy.

That's great!! Good for you - I always dreaded flying as well. I ended up getting my own seat belt extender from Amazon just so I didn't have to ask the flight attendant for one. I hated the scornful looks and groans when the person sitting beside me came along and noticed me sitting there. Never a pleasant feeling when you overflow the seat into your seatmates zone.
