I had my EKG on 8 February 2018. A week later I got called into my doctor's office because the results showed I had a heart attack at some point in the past. The cardiologist said that it could have been an error placing the leads, but he wanted a repeat EKG and an Echo. I was so stressed at the appointment my blood pressure was outrageously high and I cried all the way home. I was afraid I had waited too long to wake up and see how necessary losing weight is for me. I got the results today and both tests were normal. I can't even express how relieved I am.

I also had my nurse consult this week. I have been afraid of being denied, so the potential of a heart problem was seriously weighing on me. The nurse was very nice, and the appointment took almost three hours. She told me that they had received all of my test results and they looked good. The only thing outstanding is the sleep study. I have my consultation with the respirologist next week. I hope to get on the schedule quickly. At the end of my appointment, the nurse told me that from her perspective, unless they find something major wrong with me, I should be a good candidate for surgery. I am organized with a good attitude, and realistic expectations. I have my nutrition class and my one on one with the social worker next week. I meet with the doctor 26 April 2018. I am hoping to have the sleep study done by then. Things are moving along so well and I am so happy this week.

That is awesome about the ekg and echo results. What a relief!!! Amazing news about the nurse appointment too!

For many of us, the fear of getting declined is real. Most people get accepted though. Your chances of being accepted are far greater than being declined. Keep doing your thing. You got this!!

Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. Choose happy.
