Start opti tomorrow!
I got my opti in the mail today. I start it tomorrow and I have to do 3 weeks. I am not looking forward to it but I feel well prepared thanks to everyone here! I got some skinny syrups and things to try to change things up a bit. Thank you all again for the great tips/advice. You all have helped me build confidence that I will make it through this!?

Yahhooooo!! I'm so glad it arrived in time!
I was so worried about the taste of Opti, but it was fine. Have it cold... really cold!
I was also super excited about Opti, because it was the final stage before surgery. I was in the home stretch... super motivated and excited.
I'm so excited for you. Not long ago, you were so worried about being shipped out before you could have surgery. Now, surgery is around the corner. Yahoo!! Bring it on. Your life is about to get really good. A little Opti and then a fresh start. :)

Good luck, the only thing I found to combat the opti taste for me was a tsp of cocoa, it cut the sweetness, masked the taste and could be used in chocolate or vanilla. Surgery will be here before you know it!

You can do it. I liked opti and some days I long to go back to just shakes. You just have to do it. No choice. For some reason that really worked for me. Keep your eye on the prize. I had a lot of bubble baths at night and went to bed early to keep myself out of the kitchen.

Woohoo; you're on your way, at the real start of your journey. I'm so excited for you.
I had 3 weeks of Opti too and got used to the taste and actually grew to really like it. I liked it best plain, with no syrups or flavorings, but made with almost 500 ml of water and plenty of ice, in a big shaker bottle. It's fun to experiment with it to find the way you like it best.
Are you allowed broth or green veggies? I really looked forward to my broth every day because of the warmth. I was allowed herbal teas for the first week but had to give them up for week 2-3, so had to switch to hot lemon water with a bit of Splenda for my morning cup of warmth. It really helped.

I'm only a few days into the Opti and was really scared but I haven't had any problems thus far. ****ep waiting for the other shoe to drop!!) For me I add cold water from the fridge to my Shaker bottle then I place it in the freezer for a half hour or so before making my shake. The chocolate is fine like that. The vanilla is just vile!!! I added root beer extract once and that was good. I've also added cocoa too and that was good.
I had broth last night and it was disgusting, definitely not fond of low sodium broth. I'm also adding benefibre to each shake.
Good luck, we've got this!!
I'm at the end of day 4. All the tips have helps tremendously.
One thing I will say. For me, no matter what I did on Day 1 I really got the after taste of the opti. Super cold, sugar free flavorings...even some decaf coffee. Didn't matter. Was even burping it all day and had a moment of oh man this is gonna be a long few weeks.
But by day 2 it's like a adapted to it and now have had no issues getting them in.
It truly is a day by day process. I got super super tired day 3 and ended up calling in work to just rest. And now day 4 I feel to be in a good place. But i know it can change day to day.

Well I am half way through day 2. I have a keto flu headache today. I find the first part of the day I am fine. Right before supper and all evening I feel hungry. I have been doing things to keep me distracted. I think I will try broth around 7 tonight to see if there is a difference. I can have broth, sf popsicles and jello and crystal ligh****er.
