Cold & Tired
Well it's day 11 on Optifast, I've gotten used to the taste to some extent, and I seem to have worked out a schedule that doesn't leave me hungry or have my blood sugar diving too low. I'm still taking Insulin with each meal and at bedtime but have reduce the amount by 2/3 I'm back down to the amounts I was taking when I first started, so I guess that's good, I'm still hoping to be able to stop it all together, we'll see what they say next week.
I'm finding I'm a lot colder that I'm used to being have to make sure to wear slipper and a fleece in the house when I'm watching TV and wake up with cold feet at night, I assume it's the lower calorie diet, I also notice that the packet says for a "low energy diet" maybe that's why I'm tired all the time. I could sleep 10 hours a night but unfortunately I don't have that much time in my life except on the weekends.
I'm pushing through only 10 more days till surgery.

You think you're cold now wait until the weight starts dropping off. You'll never be warm again!!!
I used to be able to go around the house in shorts and t-shirt in the winter. Now I'm bundled up in blanket or have the fire place on and I'm still cold! Not meat on the bones to keep me warm.
Skinny girl problems.
I remember as a teenager and newlywed being cold, that's back when I was a skinny girl, it's just been so many years I forgot, and being on the optifast I can't have a hot cup of cocoa to warm me up.

I know the newbies check the trackers and the signatures so although I kind of lost track of how the rest of the weight came off, you should know that it was not fast and furious but it was slow and steady!
current BMI 24.7 that, my friends, is NORMAL!!! Strong is the new pretty!
Good morning Ginny
Sounds like me in the beginning but belive me - it changes again after your wight will be stable for a little while
I love the winter more than the summer - everything over 25 degrees Celsius is too hot for me !!! But the first 3 years after the surgery, I wanted the Equator in Switzerland.
Very very skinny girl problems
I agree with Ginny.
Wait til after surgery, and you start losing more weight. This winter has been brutal for me. I'm cold all the time. My hubby and I fight over the thermostat all the time lol
I'm always bundled up. I hope it gets better, but seems very common for a lot of us, so be prepared for it.
Wishing you the best of luck on your upcoming surgery!
