Pre-Op Appointment Monday!!!!

Hi everyone, my Pre-Op appointment has been moved up to this Monday (Feb 12) at St. Joe's Hamilton. Is there anything I need to know? Will I get my date and start Optifast?

I'm surprised they didn't give you a date to start when they called you. I guess they will at the appointment.

I was given all my Optifast instructions when I got my surgery date.

Referral - May 31/17; Orientation - June 15/17; First Appt Nurse - June 26/17; Bloodwork and ECG - June 27/17; Sleep Study - July 5/17; Dietician Appt - July 10/17; Counsellor Appt - July 10/17; Abdominal Ultrasound - July 10/17: Endoscopy/Colonoscopy - July 25/17; Second Dietician Appt - September 14/17; Internist Appt - October 2/17; Meet the Surgeon - November 21/17; Pre Surgery Nutrition Class - January 12/18; Surgery - January 16/18

I agree with Sweetride... it's unusual not to know your Opti info before your pre-op. Do you know your surgery date yet? It could be that you're getting your pre-op done so you can be on a cancellation list?

Definitely ask... and if they don't know in pre-admission, which I suspect they won't, just head over to your Bariatric centre when you're done there for answers.

I have my pre- op appointment Monday as well in Hamilton. Mine is at 8:40. What time is yours?

I appointment was for 9:45 am with Dr. Hong. Sorry I was busy all weekend, didn't get a chance until today to see the forums.

Congratulations!

I was at St. Joe's in Toronto, and they told me my surgery date on the phone, and that I'd be picking up my Opti at the end of my pre op meet the team appointment.

Maybe they did that because I live so far away from my surgery center and had to book my flight to get there, though.
