Omg! When will it stop?

I have lost so much hair in the past month. I am losing it by the handfuls daily. I have half the amount of hair I had a week ago...I swear!

The hair that I do have left, looks really healthy, but when will it stop?

I am blessed to have had a full head of thick hair, but this whole hair loss thing is scary ****

It will stop eventually. The best thing I did that I learned from someone on here was cut my hair short. It didnt seem as bad when it was short. It will grow back, dont worry.

Thanks. I have had short hair for while now and have just started growing it out within the last year...so I don't really want to cut it at this point...but I will if I have to. I know it will grow back, but I guess I am just shocked at the outcome of all of this! I wasn't expecting that it would be so bad.

But, having said all that, I would not trade wls for anything!! It has changed my life in so many incredible ways!

Thanks D.

I wrote it is "scary ****", but the "****" part never shows up in this forum. I know they will block out the word "****". If we are not laughing we are crying...lol!

Anyway, thanks for your concern, but I know it will pass.

I hope you are well!

Turn on allow adult content and you will see the word ****

As for the hair, you don't want to know how much I lost. I have thick hair but I lost more than I had left and it lasted up til a year post op. It slowed eventually and nobody noticed but myself and my stylish. I ended up cutting mine short and just let it grow back after it stopped. Seeing long strands was tougher to see than the shorter ones.

Lol! thanks!

Yes, I agree...it's pretty tough to see long strands in mass clumps. I hope your hair is on the mend now.

Thanks,

Barb

I must say that since my surgery I have lost some hair but the problem I have is that my hair that I have is not growing. I had not cut my hair since September and seriously I bet it's maybe grown half an inch at the most. Very very frustrating
