JUST TWO MORE WEEKS!!

I start Opti on Monday, and surgery 3 weeks later, I'm a little concerned about the Opti as I can't just go out and buy a different brand if I don't like the flavour, but I know the end is in site now and I too am getting really pumped.

Sorry to hijack this thread. I am also going through the process at TWH and I look at your timeline and I see that the waiting time to meet the surgeon is months. Compared to other locations in ON that sometimes finish the process in less than a year it looks like TWH takes about 1.5 years. I started the process in May 2017 finished all my appointments in November and I got OK for surgery but now I am waiting for the surgeon appointment to be set up and it takes ages. I want to plan moving to a different job, vacations, other things, but I can't plan it because I don't know when the big event is going to happen. Very frustrating :(

Yeah, it can take a while, I also think some of it depends on your individual cir****tances as I know of some people that moved through the system a lot faster than I have, I was approved at end of June and got my appointment in August, but it wasn't till October, when I had my appointment with the Nurse told me that usually surgery is within 3 months but that they were running later then that, they didn't have there scheduling up to date and they'd let me know later, wasn't really impressed that it ended up being 4 months. Which meant I had to redo some of the paperwork as it's only good for 3 months, I'm just hoping now that nothing else happens to screw things up. Good luck I know it's hard waiting but I'm sure it will be worth it in the end.

Opti is no walk in the park, but I know that it has it's purpose. I'm so happy I'm finally at this point. It has been a long time coming. Lots of waiting, crying and being impatient.

But I'm here. Almost at the losers bench. Almost.
