We made it. The weekend is finally here. This morning I'm going swimming and then to the gym. My legs are so sore from working out yesterday, but it's a good kind of sore. Tonight DH and I will go out for date night and to listen to live music.

The weather this weekend is supposed to be much milder. Not sure what we are up to this weekend, but maybe we will go out tomorrow and listen to music. Does anyone have interesting plans for the weekend?

3.5 years post-op:

B. Decaf coffee before swimming.

S1. Protein coffee at the gym

L. Salmon sashimi with the ginger, soy sauce and wasabi. Grilled asparagus with Balsamic reduction.

S2. Mini Halo orange

D. Spicy pork rinds with fresh salsa while we are listening to music.

S3. Costco rotisserie chicken salad on cucumber slices. This is good and I'm buying more today.

Good morning :)

I think I'm going to try making a pot roast for dinner. Usually DH does the majority of the cooking, but I'm trying some new recipes. We are supposed to make dinner with our friends tomorrow so he can cook that meal ;)

Post-op two years, ten months.

Breakfast - Greek yogurt, strawberries

Snack - peameal bacon, sweet potato

Lunch - egg, toast

Snack - cheese, crackers

Dinner - roast beef

Snack - pudding

All water and vits.

Yes, I'm very lucky that he cooks -- and is a good cook ;)

I like a pot roast recipe that uses a can of mushroom soup. At the end it has a nice creamy gravy to put on top!!

That sounds yummy. Is it done in the slow cooker or the oven?

I prefer using the slow cooker... I like the whole thing with getting it going, walking away, and letting it run all day :) That's more my style of cooking lol.
