Thanks so much for your support! I'm very excited (and scared) and can't wait for the next step.

You're welcome! Yes... the process is all of those things. :)

I am just over 4 months post op and it was the best decision of my life. The journey of a lifetime, and i still have a long way to go!!!

Do you mind if I ask about your time line and location? I'm just outside of London so Guelph is closest to me, how long after referral did you hear and after that how long did it all take?

There are loads of people here who went through and are going through Guelph. If you start a thread about it, I'm sure you'll get lots of support.

I went through TWH (Toronto Western). I had a fabulous experience and was able to majorly fast track my process. I waited about 1 month for orientation, and from orientation to surgery, it was just under 4 months.

I will say that's unusual, although not unheard of. I know of several others who moved through just as quickly. Average is 12 to 18 months though, for all sorts of reasons.

Hello, I'm new here. I read you went through a Toronto Western. I just got my orientation date for February, I'm excited and nervous. I'm wondering what do you think allowed your process to go so quickly? I'm also a new mom of twins soooo a short process would definitely be preferred.

Well there's a problem already. My Dr.s admin assistant called and said I don't qualify because my BMI is too low, she said I needed a comorbidity (which I have and have been medicated for 6 years for) so I explained that and she said she would resubmit it and try but she doesn't think I'll be accepted ?!?!. Now I don't know what to do.
