CBC investigates Slimband

I signed up with Slimband back in 2015, I had a really bad feeling about the surgery and backed out 2 weeks prior to my surgery. I was out $900 that was a down payment, but so thankful it wasn't $16,000. My surgeon was Patrick Yau, and my consult was by phone while he was driving home, not very professional!! I'm glad I listened to my gut and waited to have RNY.

I had a phone consult a few times with the same lady; something deep down told me it was wrong too - the money was a barrier - at the time, in hindsight, I was looking for a quick fix. I am really glad that God brought me to this forum and lead me to the RNY - best decision ever - even though it is not always easy and I am scared to death of failure ... we have had a medical solution to a medical problem - no one is doing this to "make money" off of us ....

I looked into it years ago too, talked to them, but money was a barrier. Thank goodness.

It's about time this is being investigated and stopped.
