It sounds like you and your Mom have a great relationship; that's wonderful!

Instead of snacking on nachos can you try some Quest Protein chips, or make some zucchini chips (they're just thinly cut slices of zucchini, dehydrated in the oven or a dehydrator...super low cal, low carb, and yummy. I make them when I'm craving chips...I've only had them twice but they were great both times and now I'm thinking I need to go buy a zucchini so I can make more, lol.

I sometimes have a pickle when I'm craving something crunchy and salty.

When I crave something sweet, I often have chocolate chai tea (0 calories or carbs) with chocolate premier protein added as whitener. It's yummy. Sometimes I have cocoa made with cocoa powder (not the sugary kind) but I find it's bitter, even if I add some sugar free sweetener. I like putting sugar free flavored syrups in my decaf but I'm out and the store hasn't restocked yet.

There's nothing wrong with snacking as long as it's healthy; my surgeon recommends 6 small meals a day instead of 3 large ones. I just call two of them snacks, but really they're just other meals.

Good luck with your move! Moving is stressful, so be kind to yourself.

A treat every day is no longer "a treat". It comes a staple. It becomes a habit. That becomes dangerous.

Remember we have one chance to get the most weight off that we can. Focus on the goal first, the treats later. Too many get sabotaged early by putting these things in their diet too early.

Snacks like fruit and cheese would probably be better than chocolates. Plan it into your eating planner.

Write things down. Keep yourself accountable.

Your worth it to stay committed on your journey and it's awesome that you are recognize that you are slipping. That sets you up for success because you can fix slippery slope habits that are coming in to sabotage you.

Youre doing awesome so far and your journey is worth it. Kudos for the re-evaluation what you are doing.

And remember too, the time spent with your mom is the most precious commodity You don't need food to show love ??

hugs and health to you!
