So much going on need a boost of confidence
Even though i was told by the hospital i was on track a month ago i dont feel that i have lost any weight since then. i am on a stall. it is really frustrating
for those who are new, i am 4.5 months out. and have been getting a bit lazy,
no not lazy. that it inaccurate. i am more willfully ignoring some of my lessons.
my father died less than a year ago and i have been living with my mom between my move to a new house. when i am with my mum i tend to try to spoil her. give her a snack mid day. and top up her wine. i dont drink wine, or anything else. but i do have a little snack with her. sometimes its a sugar free chocolate. sometimes its a few pieces of cheese. sometimes its nachos (not gooey nachos just some chips. but not a lot like 4 for me, about 16 for her) i feel guilty if i dont spoil her a bit. it keeps her happy.
i have also not been drinking enough water. or enough fiber.
i am still having trouble getting enough food into me at meal time. most of the time i get my protien in. but the rest of the food is often left on the plate.
i am just writnig this not to whinge. more to get a kick in the teeth
please gang, help me out. give me some tough love.
i have been hanging out on the scale at 234, but then again it may not be as bad as all that. when i last went from my mums scale to the hospital scale it was 5lbs off. but i hesitate to trust that math. i see the numbers and thats where i feel discouraged.
also. i have been taking stool softeners every day and sometimes i need milk of magnesia at least once a week. i worry should i just get some benifiber?
i knwo this is all stuff i should know. but i could use a good boost,
and i could use a kick in the pants.
the move is saturday and sunday and i am sure once i am in my own place it will be better.
but for now....
Thanks guys

Youre doing great!!
instead of eating with your mom, perhaps have a glass of water and a half a protein shake - still spend time with her or give yourself a different snack that is more in line with your diet. Set reminders on your phone for water if you have too. It will help you lose big time!!
for the bowel movements issue intake two colace a day (stoll softeners) and im pretty regular now. Try that and hopefully itll help you.
Dont let the scale discourage you! Keep your head in the game and remember why you started this journey and continue on your journey! Youve got this!!!

Great advice!
i do have a question though, does tomato juice count as fluid, what about milk. should i just be drinking water. does my one cup of coffee count as fluid?
i will up my stool softeners. to two a day. that sounds like a plan i would love to be more regular
thank you so much for the support

Tomato juice and milk do count as fluids but really try and up your water and protein intake as those are key. Check the sugars in the tomato juice too as they may be high and hindering your weight loss!!

I think it might be high in sodium too which might make you have difficulty losing?

you've got this! I know that you can do it. Remember, the honeymoon period is your best time to drop the weight!! It gets harder later, so make the most of this time now.
Remember mindful eating. Nibbling throughout the day can be dangerous.
My best days are always when I stay ahead of my hunger. Planned healthy (protein rich) snacks to avoid ever getting 'too' hungry.
I've switched over to restoralax. The NP at TWH told me it was the safest thing to stay on long term. It really helps to keep me regular. I had a lot of issues with that in the first few months.
You've got this! and we've got you!

Thank you so much. It is exactly because of the honeymoon period that i am worried about not losing now.
I thought that nibbling would be a problem. i am going to try something i heard about a long time ago. the putting of my food into mfp before i eat. that way i know ahead of time what i am having.
Restoralax? hmm they did not tell me about that but i will pick some up tomorrow. thanks
thank you so much i knew i could rely on you guys
