They don't keep a cancellation list at Sudbury but if you keep calling them they'll likely slot you in. If you live locally (like I do). They sometimes will have you in mind when people can't make it - especially with the bad weather. They called me a couple of weeks ago just after 11am to come in for a 1pm appointment that someone couldn't make. I live 3-4 mins from the centre so could drop things and just go (I work from home and can be pretty flexible).

HI Anncha,

Thanks. yes I do live locally and actually mentioned to them that I work in the same building and can be there within 2 mins no matter when. Do you know why they say you cannot proceed with any appointments within 2 months of your orientation?

I really don't know why that is. It doesn't make much sense to me. Maybe it's because they expect you to really think about things to figure out if its right for you and start making the changes your promised to make and wrote down on the worksheet?

They do ask you about the commitments you made at orientation and talk about the challenges you may (or may not) have faced to accomplish them.

I guess that would make sense. I got right on the hop and started all the changes I mentioned as of yesterday. Some so had already started the process on now just giving them no wiggle room.

I had my orientation in Sudbury in Sept. They never gave us any time for 1 on 1s and after a few months I was wondering what was going on. I have called them several times and have had no luck moving my appointments up. I still do not have an appointment time. I am not sure why they are so different from other centres.

Congrats to you on starting your journey. Hopefully you wait wont be that long.

Congrats to you in your journey as well. I'm not sure why they are giving dates out right away now. Maybe to lessen the amount of phone calls. I would assume that your one an ones should definitely be coming soon maybe March if following the same timeline I am on. Because I just had my orientation and not scheduled for anything until the end of July. Good luck and keep in touch... let me know how you are making out appointment wise.
