I've been on OH since Christ was a cowboy and have only seen one person post they never lost any at all and I can honestly say I don't believe it. I lose hair after every surgery let alone add in the rapid weight loss that comes with WLS. I had a non WLS related surgery not long ago and hair is still falling out from anesthetic, they say that is really common too. If you have long hair, be prepared to unclog your drains every month.
Wow. Good to know. I lost about 30 pounds really quickly a few years back and lost a ton of hair then as well. It grew back as so as I started to gain weight again. I didn't know that hair loss was also due to the surgery itself. I guess at this point we can all just hope for the best, but as I stated in another reply, I would do it all again, because I have gotten life back with the weight loss. I was just curious as to what other people's experience was.
Thanks for your input.

Yikes!!! Well, preparation is half the battle.
Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. Choose happy.

Century Club and Onederland in month 7!!
Every shower when i lose the regular amount of hair i practically count the hairs so worried am i about this hair loss inevitability.
i know it will happen but i am hoping its not bad. you are so right it is worth it and my mother has offerd to buy me a wig if it gets really bad.
lol i suppose the wig would be a normal colour though so i am not too fond of that. i wonder if they have good quality "fun" wigs?
I may not be there yet, but I'm closer than I was yesterday!

I am was so scared when this started happening, so I feel obligated to reply to ease your mind :)
My hair started falling out in clumps around month 3. Every time it was so traumatic. I am now almost at month 8, and it has stopped. I have regrowth now.
I started using a shampoo system by Monat. It has worked for me. Its pricy, but definitely worth it. I don't sell it :)
Yes, traumatic for me too! I've never heard of Monat. I will check it out! Thanks so much for the tip!
