Whirlwind weekend; whirlwind four months post op

Hi everyone,

I wanted to post, cause I've had a whirlwind weekend... tons of fun, and I can't believe how much life has changed in the 4 months since I've had surgery. I know a number of folks are going in for surgery this week, and there are several new people here as well. I really wanted to share this as an inspiration as you move forward on whichever part of your journey you're on. It really is all worth it!

So I'm just past four months out. I have lost 77 lbs, including 10 lbs on Opti. I was wearing a tight 24 when I started, and now I'm in an 18, and even bought one pair of size 16 jeans I wear regularly.

I had an event to go to this weekend and none of my dresses fit me anymore, and I was able to buy a dress at Le Chateau. I have never shopped a "regular" store in my life. Even as a kid I had to shop plus size!! Pic of me in my dress below!!

I am dating the greatest guy!! It's only been a short while, but it's progressing at this crazy speed. He came with me to the party on Saturday night. He's also met some of my family (at two different family events) and I've met some of the most important people in his life.

My health has improved dramatically. I am able to walk for hours too... in cute boots!! My new boyfriend and I spent four hours at the motorcycle show today, and I wasn't even sore!!! I could not have done that in comfortable shoes before!!

I couldn't have imagined dating again... but with the surgery, and improved health, and weight loss, I had the confidence to put myself out there again... and am so thrilled with the results.

I wish everyone on this journey, regardless of where you're at, that this opens up doors for you you've wanted for yourself, and ones you couldn't even imagine for yourself.

This sounds pretty general but....ALL of that is very exciting!! Congrats. I look forward to using your inspiration as I move along in my own journey.

Thank you!! I remember your post about avoiding photos. I still don't love the camera, but I'm doing better with it and happier to see my pictures. I've always "gotten in the shot" despite loving the results, which I'm glad about, because I now have lots of before and after (or I guess this is during!). With your surgery coming up so soon, hopefully you'll start to "get in the shot" too. :)
