Hi all,

I will be five weeks out January 10th. I have been in a stall for three weeks now.

My weight prior to opti was 267lbs, then surgery morning 254lbs, and as of today I am 234lbs.

I am absolutely amazed and happy with a 33lb weight loss in two months, but since this stall has been going on three weeks now, I?m worried I?m doing something wrong.

I track everything with MyFitnessPal, and I?m getting between 50-60g protien/day, and around 400-450 calories. I?m back on a regular schedule working and moving around lots.

Is it normal to stall so long? TIA

I would up your protein more. Should be 80 to 90 grams. That will boost your calories too. You aren't getting enough in IMO. Good luck!!

I feel ya lady!

I am one month Post op today and have been on a at all since week 2. For the Last two weeks the scale did not move and I stopped weighing myself. I get 60 to 70 protein grams a day and average 700 calories a day.

Out of desperation I have read so many post of people who talk about the same thing. It seems it is just part of the process for some of us.

I stopped weighing myself because it is so defeating. I will get on a scale on Jan 19th. I promised myself not until then again.

Hang on there. You are not alone.

Oh this is so good to know. I have been weighing myself each morning and only losing/gaining the same two pounds every day. I should just tuck that away somewhere for a while. The weight just fell off so quickly at first so it had me worried I wouldn't lose anymore.

Hey there,

I totally understand the fear, but the stall is totally normal. I went through it too at the same time you did... and have mini stalls regularly. I weight myself regularly, but promised myself I would not let myself get affected by the stalls or gains, as long as I was following what I should be doing.

Overall, it's working for me. I am just over 4 months out and down over 75 lbs. Hang in there. This is not a race to the finish line... this is a very long walk. :)

Yeah stalls suck but they are part of the game. Just ride the wave, keep doing everything you are doing and your body will soon adjust and you will start dropping weight again. I had a 3 week stall early out and another 6 week stall around 6 months. You got this!!

what everybody else said. Normal. Remember to take your measurements regularly. Scaleigjt not move but you're likely losing inches. I took pics and measurements every month.

Over 100 lbs lost! and 13 lbs below goal weight!
