That?s so awesome OAAT!!! I bought a size 16 capris jeans for the spring. Not sure when I will get into them but they?re on stand by.

On the winter coat topic. I had a beautiful one from addition elle I bought for a trip to Whistler a few years ago that was a 4X and was so sad when it got too big. The other one I had was a 2x and fit well but wasn?t nearly as nice as the other which was down fill with fur trim and really so nice. Well, the zipper broke on the 2X and it?s been so damn cold I?m wearing the 4X anyway! Haha it?s so warm!! It looks like I?m wearing a sleeping bag but it will have to do!

That's awesome you fit the 2x!!!! Why not take it in to have the zipper fixed? Might be an easy $10 job at the dry cleaner. :)

I broke down and bought a new coat... got it on sale at Cleo. It fits me great cause it's a petite. I can't believe I bought a coat at a regular store! It's the xxl, but still!!! So my 3x is sitting in my closet... I should give that away. :)

I might check that out. The other one has been keeping me warm. Even if it looks rather drapey. lol

So awesome you shopped at a regular sized store!!! Must have felt so great!! I'm such a pear. I think my lower stomach, hips, and bum will keep me out of the regular stores for some time still. But I'm ok with that. I worry I'm going to end up in some no mans land somewhere between plus and regular sizes. Aren't most women? I wish the fashion industry would wake up and stop catering to maniquins!

I thought it would be forever until i was out of plus size stores too. I had to regroup because i didn't know where to go... I was seriously out of my comfort zone. I am still plus size, and will likely still need to do most of my shopping there for a while (not that I buy much). But I wasn't finding what I wanted, and decided to try something different. A few stores go up to size 18, so it's great. That perfect transition. I know of Le Chateau, Cleo, Marks, Reitmans, I think RW&Co. I'm sure there are others.

You'll be surprised when you get to that point!!! It won't be long. :)

I know what you mean about being out of your element. It's going to be a bit of a re-learning curve. When I did Dr Bernstein I was able to shop in regular stores and I remember how exhilarating and daunting it was!

JUSt ordered some jeans from Reitmans! Thanks so much for the inspiration! I needed your push out of my comfort zone. I might have got the sizing all wrong but at least I'll know and if they're too small I'll just keep them! :)
