I am the world's worst poster, although I read the forums religiously daily and draw so much strength and inspiration from all of you! I just wanted to share that I had my follow up call with the Nurse Practitioner last night and she has given me her "green light"! Woohoo! I have my last two appointments next week before my file goes to rounds, so we are edging ever closer.

Any TWH people, how long after the file goes to rounds is the surgeon appointment usually scheduled for? And is there any flexibility on moving the surgeon appointment up?

I am hoping to have my surgery in April (I'd like it sooner, but I am going to be overseas in March), and I am wondering if this is a realistic timeline?

I moved all kinds of appointments up by getting on cancellation lists and just generally being a royal pain and calling all the time.

I got the sleep study moved up because no one wants to do it on a weekend. I took a Friday night.

I got my surgery moved up because after not hearing and getting nowhere by calling, I took Murt65's advice and went straight to the booking desk. We booked it right then and there in person. I took a cancellation date.

Oneatatime did the same thing. You just have to be proactive and push. Push nicely, but push.

Lol, yep, I have been doing the same - call call call! I've moved up all of my appointments, including my sleep study, except next weeks' two, since I had to wait for the nurse follow up anyway.

I was just checking to see if the surgeon appointment was any different, for some reason.

My file went to rounds the end of December and I met the surgeon in February had surgery in April.

I never bothered trying to move my appointments. When they were meant to happen they would, and did.

Things at TWH are backed up right now, so the surgeon appointment can take four months easily. Calling for cancellations is a good bet. Yes... you absolutely can call to move up your meet the surgeon appointment. It's a more "difficult" one to move, but just keep calling.

I'll see what they say after my appointments next week. How long after the surgeon appointment is surgery scheduled? I know your experience was a bit quicker than others, but trying to get my ducks in a row :)

When I was going through, they were so backlogged they weren't even giving out appointments!! I got on the cancellation list...

I'm not sure about now. I haven't heard about most recent wait times at TWH. Hopefully someone will chime in.
