Optifast Starts Tomorrow
I'm ready. I just want to get on with it now.
I thought I'd go crazy today eating what I won't be eating for a while,or maybe ever, but I don't seem to care. So, it's salmon pasta and a salad. Oh yeah...a glass of white wine since I won't be partaking tomorrow.
Happy New Year Everyone!

Fantastic!! Opti was so exciting for me, because it was the start of the countdown the surgery. Like you, I wasn't thinking about the food I would miss... I was so ready.
Happy new year, and new you!! It's going to be fantastic!!! I'm so thrilled for you. :)
See you soon I hope!!

Century Club and Onederland in month 7!!
You can do it! I'm on day 3. I thought I'd eat my arms off yesterday but I didn't. I found a tetrapack of premier protein in the fridge and whenever hunger was really bad and not fixed with celery, water, or broth and it was too soon for another Opti, I just had a swig of that. It took the edge off. I figure I had about 1/3 cup altogether so I'm not calling it cheating. Today is much better and I'm hoping for smooth sailing from here on.
Here's hoping your Opti is smooth sailing too!
Referred January 7/17, Orientation Humber May 28/17, Meet Dr. August 4/17, TRIO November 3/17, Internist November 21/17, Surgeon again December 21/17, Pre-op assessment January 4/18 and Surgery January 12/18.
So far so good. I quite like the chocolate. I've had some broth and some peppermint tea. I feel a little deprived but it's all good.
Tomorrow will be a bit more difficult. I have family coming over but I have veggies and sugar free low fat dip along with tea and my shakes. The veggies will feel like an indulgence. LOL

That's so exciting J! You've moved through so quickly and I can hardly believe you're almost there! Keep me posted on how your Hamilton experience goes. I have my nurse's appt on the 24th so things are moving for me as well, but not as fast as the Wharton route. Had my sleep study without issue (except not sleeping!). Good luck with the Opti! Is the vanilla gross or did you only get chocolate? Does the chocolate have caffeine from the cocoa?
I like the chocolate better than the vanilla. If I had it to do again I would only get Chocolate. I bought some flavoured syrups and I'm hoping the vanilla will taste better. The peppermint really helped this morning.
TBH I haven't looked at the ingredients so I'm not sure what's in there or not. LOL
So far so good. I'm 14 days away from surgery. It's getting very exciting.
