Merry Christmas from the Deep South!
Merry Christmas Y'all!
I'm spending Christmas with friends in Alabama this Christmas. Having a great time experiencing a true southern Christmas including all the foods that "make" Christmas in the south.
All I can say is that I'm glad I haven't had surgery yet because I have no idea how I would have got through our Christmas Dinner last night. Good Lord! Green Beans baked in the oven covered in strips of bacon and stewing in Maple Syrup, Cornbread stuffing, collard greens, and the final kicker - sweet potato dumplings which was just like eating syrup covered crunch candy. Oh my!
So the plan was enjoy but don't go crazy. Everything in moderation. So far so good.
I start Opti on December 31st and it can't happen soon enough.

Merry Christmas!! Enjoy your trip. It sounds great... not one I could join. Lol. I barely made it through turkey dinner. Haha. So filling! But I would have loved that pre-op too!!!

What a great experience for you! You are missing out on all of our snow and freezing temperatures though, haha. I hear you about the one last hoorah before surgery. This will be my last indulgent Christmas as well, I'm imagining. Pre-nutrition appt tomorrow so hopefully it will kick me back into better habits!
