Wicked cravings
Hey everyone. I am a few days out from the joyous visit from my lady friend and I cannot believe the cravings I am having. This is the worst I have had since surgery in September and they are all carbs (think nachos, fries, pizza..) and chocolate. Anyone have any suggestions or what they do to deal with these time or the month cravings?

This is definitely head hunger. Have a bath, watch a good TV show, shut down the kitchen and brush your teeth, drink water, drink tea, anything to take your mind off the cravings. Stay strong, hugs.

That time of month can really mess with our bodies and minds. Sometimes, it's just a matter of getting through it.
My philosophy is a bit different... if I am seriously craving something, I'll have it. But it's rare. I figure if i restrict myself, forbid certain foods, then I'll eventually spiral.
I was craving ice cream last night, and i have some in the house for my nephew... ice cream is my #1 trigger food. I know I was craving it because i wasn't feeling well and old habits die hard. So I waited out my craving and it passed. I still haven't had ice cream since surgery. I know I eventually will... but not for the reason last night.
I have given into cravings for time of month... within reason. I've thought out and tracked what I thought would satisfy me, and what I could live with.
Find the balance between mind and body that works for you that is controlled, thought out, tracked, and that you can live with. That may mean not giving into any craving at all, that may mean a little bit. Your restriction should prevent you from anything more than that. :)
Good luck, I hope it passes quickly.

Century Club and Onederland in month 7!!
my advice, don't let yourself get hungry. Drink lots of fluids (that helps to keep me full) and eat dense protein in smaller portions more often throughout the day. I find a fuller belly helps me to ward off cravings
