Taking sample meal plans to appointment. Is this overkill?
I have my first dietician and social worker appointment this Friday. I plan to take a week's worth of food diaries with me (it's all I have - the appointment is a cancellation so last minute for me). Would it be overkill to take a sample meal plan for each stage post op? I want to show I'm really prepared and that I've been looking into what I will need to do after I'm home from the hospital but I don't want to annoy them with being a "know it all" as I really do not, in anyway, know it all.

Not at all! It was a requirement for me at my location.
Showing you are ready and the changes you have already made in your life for WLS shows your level of seriousness.
I would say take everything. It is always better to be over prepared then under.
Good luck!

Thank you! I will take them then. I'm a worrier by nature and I don't want to miss something so I'd rather have too much than too little :)

Thank you guys. I appreciate your time and thoughts. I've made some meal plans for each stage including when I'd take my multivitamin and when I'd take my calcium and how much water/protein I'm expected to get down.
I hope it helps to show how much I've thought about the surgery/lifestyle change and that I'm a good candidate for approval.

I think it's awesome!! Be open to feedback... which I can totally tell you are. People like to be the expert, so likely they will want to have that teaching moment with you. Then again, who knows... it might be perfect and they'll tell you that!!
Inthink they will be super impressed by how prepared you are. Let us know!

Century Club and Onederland in month 7!!
She was super impressed and had nothing to add or change from any of the samples. She said I'm the most prepared person she's ever seen and that she thinks I'm a wonderful candidate for this surgery :) she kept my food diary and the only thing she said was to try to incorporate a bit more protein in my breakfast but it was only a mild suggestion as it'll make no difference post op lol
The dietitian was fine the sw appointment was a bit more harrowing from an emotional stand point talking about your difficult upbringing with a stranger with a power dynamic at play is hard. I got through it and he's passed me as well. Now for the nurse practitioner. The dietitian is concerned my vitamin D levels might hold me back and has said I should get new blood work done next week before my nurse appointment and see how they are but if they are still lower than they should be they might put me on hold :( my levels were 55 at my last blood check in June
