Optifast Flavors
Hey everyone
I finally see the surgeon next week and plan on picking up Optifast. I have heard the vanilla is not the best. Should I stick to just chocolate? Or maybe 2 chocolate and 1 vanilla?
What did you prefer? I plan on buying sugar free syrups too
also, is it a powder you mix yourself, or pre mixed?

Yay @ seeing the surgeon next week!
I got only chocolate because I heard the vanilla was very sweet. I was happy with my choice. I mixed it with coffee... had it just the one way because it worked for me.
Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. Choose happy.

I found the extract and not the syrups worked best for me. I liked both Vanilla and Chocolate. For my 4 shakes I would change it up throughout the day so for example I would have Vanilla for breakfast with cinnamon, next chocolate with caramel extract, then vanilla with orange extract and last chocolate with banana extract. And I spaced them out every 4 hours. That's what worked for me. And it is a powder you mix yourself with water.

I used syrups but drank mostly the chocolate because I personally found the vanilla a little too sweet and too chemically after tast-ish. I put the powder in a two cup mason jar then my little anchor from Popeye's shook the heck out of it and then added as much ice would fit and then slammed it down!!! Towards the end of the three weeks the taste is not that bad but it takes a while to get used to!

I know the newbies check the trackers and the signatures so although I kind of lost track of how the rest of the weight came off, you should know that it was not fast and furious but it was slow and steady!
current BMI 24.7 that, my friends, is NORMAL!!! Strong is the new pretty!
Glad to hear u are so close to join the losers bench. I bought all vanilla because I don't like chocolate at all! I drank every shake with coconut extract, cinnamon, a teaspoon of decafe coffee and lots of ice( it has to be really cold)! Don't worry if u don't like coffee I wasn't a fan of it either but it gives it a different flavor! I still want the taste today 10 months and 1 week out! Down 108lbs since surgery and loving life. Beat of luck in your journey!

I really liked the Vanilla. The chocolate was good too but I liked the break from chocolate and was happy to get half Vanilla. I didn't like the flavorings added to it; just plain, made with ice cold water and plenty of ice.
Congrats on getting to see the surgeon next week; so exciting!
