Changed my goal

So I noticed today that the goal I had originally picked for this site was 140lbs and thats about where I am at today. I have bounced up and down on the same 2 pounds for the last 2 weeks, even seeing 139 at one point, but really I'm about 140.
Given that my BMI is still 28 and I definitely do not feel like I am where I want to be, I decided to change my goal to 130 and see where that gets me.

I would like to have a BMI of around 25. While I am SUPER happy when I see myself in the mirror, I'm not sure I will ever feel completely DONE, so I'm using the BMI as a help in determining when to start maintaining.

I also have a lot of loose skin, which I'm sure adds to the scale numbers. I would LOVE to get plastics, but not sure its in the budget. I would love to do my upper arms, upper thighs and stomach. I have that apron-pouch thing hanging at my tummy and my arm-flaps could hail a taxi on their own. But when I'm dressed, and ready to head out I generally feel really happy about the changes this tool has helped me to achieve.

Happy Monday Everyone!

I don't know from experience, but I've read excess skin doesn't weigh that much... just a few small lbs.

The plastic surgery board has lots of info about how much excess skin weighs... or you can ask the question there. I've never seen it referenced as 15 lbs. But I'm no expert. Ask there. :)

Good for you. I moved my goal by a pound so that my BMI would be in the "normal" range. My first goal was 175 - set by my doctor and myself. I need to see him so that we can have a candid conversation and evaluate. I have been hailing a few cabs as well - and I have my own car - lol. But boy do I look good dressed!

The closer I get the more I am reminded that as I get to my next goal (100 lbs. lost) and move closer to that magic number, my success will depend on my ability to continually put in place what I have learned and never go back to an unhealthy weight. People won't look at me saying "you look about 170", but they will say that I look slimmer, appear to be much more active, and am generally happier. The number says something about my health, but in the big scheme, is only one criteria by which my health is measured.

Continue to feel great! I'm so glad you're doing so well.

Congratulations!! It sounds like you have a great attitude toward setting and amending your goal. Well done achieving the first one. No doubt you'll achieve any others you determine are right for you too!!
