Ginny, that is so sweet. Happy anniversary!!

Our dating anniversary is also DHs bday so we celebrate our own holiday and that's easy to remember, but I'm not sure about our wedding anniversary because it's a random day in June.

Good morning!!

Big meeting this afternoon so I will be happy when that wraps up. We are ordering delicious catering from a local bakery so I must be strong!!

Breakfast - protein bar

Snack - egg

Lunch - beef leftovers

Good Morning,

Happy Anniversary Ginny!

Yesterday was a pretty good pouch day until the beef stew. I made it in my instant pot so it was nice and soft and I chewed like crazy but my pouch rejected it. The few bites I had were delicious.

My daughter is home sick today so I will be tending to her. I plan to do a yoga video to get some exercise.

Menu

B- decaf latte, skyrr yogurt with hemp seeds and a few raspberries

L- Salmon cake with Greek yogurt with fresh dill.

d- Jamacain Patty (just the filling)

S- premier protein, baby belle light

I'm sorry the beef stew didn't sit well. Guelph told us not to eat beef until 6 months post-op because many people have difficulty digesting red meat after surgery. I waited 5 months and 3 weeks, lol. I'm such a rebel.

It seems like each hospital has different guidelines. I made beef adobe a few weeks ago and my pouch enjoyed it. Everyday is an experience !

Happy Anniversary. Not only is it sweet, but I could actually read it. With my husband, it has taken 30 years of practice - lol. I think he made our collective day as well.

I've been having a few digestion problems lately. I had four Buffalo chicken chunks that my son baked in the oven for dinner instead of the chicken breast and it didn't sit well. Hard boiled, poached and fried eggs still a problem, yet one scrambled egg with a bit of cheese is okay. I'm refocusing on keeping to 3/4 cup max and eating slowly. I do this for the most part, but that one extra forkful or not chewing as well as I should definitely affects me. Not eating everything on my plate, as we have been taught not to waste, is something that I am also doing mindfully. When I'm full (or start to burp - lol), I get up, put the rest into the garbage and rinse the plate. Breaking habits and developing new ones, on an ongoing and continual basis, is something I strive to do.

B - protein shake and lots of black decaf.

L - Chicken breast with 1 oz. cheddar and 1 tbsp. low fat mayo

D - 3/4 cup homemade chili

S - 5 oz. Skyr yogurt with S.F. syrup.

Calories: 764, Protein: 100, Carbs: 39. All water and vitamins.

Enjoy your day.

The not finishing your plate is a tough one. I hate to see things go to waste but really, there is no point in keeping two bites of chicken or whatever. Out it goes! I'm not the garbage can!!!

A good way to look at it. Since I am the one to serve myself, I should know my portions and keep to them. But you're right, one or two pieces of chicken is all it takes for me to feel uncomfortable - so out it goes. I'll remember each time I do this that I'm not the garbage can either.
