Hi Barb!
I used to be a regular here a few years ago then life got back to "normal" and I drifted away. From time to time I pop back in to see how everyone is doing. Reading your post made me smile and brought back memories. Its just amazing what people that do not have weight problems take for granted. For people with weight issues something like feeling sexy is monumental.
I remember going to Mexico at a weight of 165 and wearing a two piece bathing suit for the first time since I was a teenager. The feeling of having people look at me as a "normal weight" person felt incredible. As I looked around there was people of all different shapes and sizes, one lady stood out in my mind in particular.
The lady was probably around 250 lbs wearing a black bathing suit, two piece no less. As I watcher her stroll down the beach with her partner both laughing and having a good time... clearly in love with each other, at that moment I realized that sexy isn't on the pages of Victory Secret or on the runways of NY. Sexy in my opinion is inner peace. its coming to the conclusion that you feeling in your heart is the same as what you see in the mirror and think with your mind. The lady on that Mexican beach was happy with her body and happy with her man and anyone looking at them knew they loved each others looks regardless of not being a perfect 10
Reading your post was really uplifted, I could feel the same happiness coming through as I felt seeing that stranger on the beaches of Mexico.
Congratulations on your success. its an incredible feeling isn't it!! Much continued success :-)

Hi Ann,
Thanks for the awesome reply. And yes! it is an amazingly awesome experience! I feel fantastic. I can't remember the last time I felt so good about myself. It's so important to share and then know that people here understand that. I was getting so discouraged and depressed about my weight that I began not wanting to go out or to do anything. My personality was beginning to change. I hated it. I am very rapidly beginning now to feel like myself again. It is so refreshing and freeing.

Congratulations! It is an amazing experience to shrink down, isn't it? It's so much more than just size.
I'm in denial in the opposite way. I need to go get some size medium undies but don't believe they will fit, so am wearing my size larges and XL's and they keep sagging or falling off.
I did throw out all of the 1X-4X's.
My brain just won't believe I fit into size 12 pants, let alone medium undies, lol. I'll have to go buy some soon.

I have no idea, i wear elastic EVERYTHING. so i don't know if i have lost a lot. i mean i know i have lost inches. but sizing is a mystery. i don't want to buy anything yet. and i cant make it into stores to try things on with my cane and my arthritis. it is just too much effort to go into a store and try things on.
I may not be there yet, but I'm closer than I was yesterday!
