Nice to meet you!! I had Dr. Okrainec and he's the best. I'm one month out and (touch wood) no complications to speak of. If he's your surgeon you are in very good hands. That said, as many have mentioned they're all supposed to be amazing at TWH. Good luck on the home stretch!!

If you get a cancellation, be prepared that your surgeon could change. I was originally with Dr Okrainec, and ended up having Dr Penner. I met him right before surgery, and he was open, personable, patient, and talked through with me the options between RNY and VSG, and as he put it, "this is your last chance to decide because I am about to operate."

I had a flawless surgery, he did an amazing job, called my sister right after because she was offsite and gave her the update and answered all her questions.

I couldn't have been more thrilled with my experience!!!
