NSV
So today I went shopping. I've been noticing that my jeans make it look like I have NO bum, and I want a bum (not a kardashian bum, but something there - lol)
Last time I was at Winners I noticed that they have jeans called 'wanna better butt' so I thought I would give them a try. I took 4 different brands of jeans in the fitting room, all size 8. As I sat down ready to put on the first pair I started to think "why didn't i bring in a bigger size?" I was prepared to have to pull each pair on with difficulty. To my surprise, each pair went on with absolutely no problem. They all fit and 2 of them were a bit loose for my liking.
I was pretty happy, but since none of them actually improved my behind like I hoped they would, I didn't buy any. This is huge for me, in the past I've been known to purchase clothing just because I was so happy it fit. Not anymore, now I have choices and man, I'm going to make sure I get just what I want.
Side note: My brain is still wonky. As I went to the fitting room and showed the attendant how many items I had I immediately thought that she was thinking "what are you thinking fatso? taking size 8s in the that room? Ha ha, yeah right!" I look forward to working through my own issues with these thoughts, I'm sure she wasn't thinking any of that, but its still where my mind goes.

My brain hasn't caught up to either lol. You are doing amazing, keep it up!
P.S. I hey ya about the no butt issue!
Take care, Sonja
That's awesome!! Congratulations. :)
Amazing that a couple of them were loose too! And good for you for not buying something "because they fit". It's a whole new world of clothing choices for you!
The mind does crazy things eh... like with thinking the changeroom lady gave any thought to your clothing size. You're right, she didn't. But your subconscious was hard at work firing off caution flares to you, trying to "protect" you... and it those situations, it tends to get mixed up with inner worry (self judgment) and the judgment of others.
Let us know when you find your great butt jeans!!!
Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. Choose happy.

Century Club and Onederland in month 7!!
EXCELLENT. I though fitting into a size 10 was mind blowing - and they had lots of Lycra in them. Size 8? Wonderful.
I just bought Rockstar jeans from Old Navy - sculpted fit. My daughter says my butt looks wonderful and my husband just smiled and gave me a hug (as I shook my "new" butt at him. They are very reasonable and often on sale. Give them a try. I bought a size 12 and they are loose but certainly wearable. As we are losing at a good rate, I do find that I enjoy shopping more, but I am wary. I was told by the S.W. that shopping can become addictive as we may trade in food for other things. I'm also wanting to be thrifty since I don't plan on staying this size and have already given away tons of clothes from size 22 down through 14.
I understand how you view yourself and think that, this too, is something we need to work through.
More exciting times and NSV's ahead. Congratulations!

I bought a pair of those jeans yesterday. I know I still need to lose a ton, but they were on sale for 20 bucks and thought, what the hell I have to wear something for the next few weeks! I'm finding most of my clothes are starting to get really big an I am so sick of wearing stretchy pants. Glad you found some nice jeans Linda.

Having more clothing options is AMAZING! Size 8 - woohoo! How exciting for you!
I can relate to the brain not catching up - I stand in front of the plus size clothes and try them on and they are way too big. I can't figure out what size I am! Its hard trying to figure out what works for my body now.
hard yes, but fun trying on all the clothes :)
