No questions, I just hope that everything went well and your recovery will be relatively quick and painless. Sleep, sip and walk - as much as possible. It will be better at home.

Best of luck.

Hi Caff, I read your other update! I'm so glad you are doing well. It sounds like you had a rough start post-surgery. Amazing you will get to go home already. There's no place like home :)

Keep healing well and welcome to the loser's bench!

Sorry! Clearly I am on narcotics lol.

I had a verttical sleeve gastrectomy at 12:00pm yesterday.

All went well. The staff at Humber are fantastic. Dr. Cyr (sp?) the anestheiologist is especially wonderful.

The tech infrastructure here is also really cool. While I was in surgery my husband could eatch my progress updates on an electronic screen in rh waiting room. He could also opt to receive text msgs, which he did while having a bite in the food court.

I had a tough time waking up and spent most of yesterday dozing. I only got one walk in late last night.

I vonited blood and clots last night too, which had them concerned but my vitals were stabled and it only happened once so they concluded it was irritation from the intubation. My throat is sore this morning.

I thew up a few more times in the night so they're trying out different pain meds. Soon I get to try apple sauce and I'm sooo excited!

The only pain I have is gas, but I haven't been walking. I plan to get going after breakfast.

This is a long update but I wanted relay mush as I can about my experience here at Humber. If you have any question please feel free to ask!

The narcotics can really wreak havoc! Get well quickly. :)

You are going threw my worst fear.

Does it hurt when you vomit? Is it worrisome? I can not imagine having the surgery and then vomiting.

Thank you for sharing everything. The good and bad.
