Good morning everyone! Another grey looking day here. Did some cardio and weights at the gym this morning and if the weather doesn't cooperate for an outdoor walk at lunch I will head to the arena and do laps on the track.

So I plan my next day, while I am cooking my dinner. So I basically know what I'm going to have and just measure and weigh and plug into MFP as I go. When I was done last night I thought my calories were a little high given the protein number so thought I'd have a little analytical look. Turns out my food for today includes 180 calories in just condiments. YIKES! I use 1/2 fat mayo, but the full fat Ranch dressing (I compared the labels for the Calorie Wise one and the difference was minimal). So at this point everything is prepped in all its containers so I wasn't prepared to make changes but will be keeping a closer eye and mind on what I am putting together for the day.

Good morning,

From years of dieting, I tend not to use any condiments at all other than maybe tzatziki or salsa. I now also use some low fat mayo but usually no dressings. Being aware and reading labels is indeed part of the plan.

I haven't been preparing the night before and need to get back to it - even putting a cup of leftovers into a separate container and into the fridge. I often just grab and run in the morning often getting less than I should. I can also shop for my fridge at work separately, but portion control is easier if I just bring what I've planned to eat for snacks and lunch.

S - 1/2 cup Skyr and sliced strawberries

Well, I'm not on a diet, I'm eating wisely!! So I will just continue to count my condiments in my totals and make some changes if they become an issue!!

A wise person said to me condiments are the difference between eating, and eating deliciously!!

Thank you for that and I agree, I'm not on a diet - I just have gotten used to using few condiments. I still like hot sauce, low fat mayo and Tzatziki but no longer use salad dressings and have never much liked mustard nor ketchup.

Like you, it's all about taste for me and it's not a case of dieting.
