Ice cold hands and feet
Hi guys,
Did anyone else develop ice cold hands and feet after losing weight? It's only fall and my hands and feet, especially my fingers and toes, are like blocks of ice, even in the house, which is set at 70 F. I had to crochet some fingerless gloves to keep my hands warm and still be able to type on the computer (which totally doesn't help with the cold fingers, lol).
I'm colder overall, but it's especially noticeable in my poor fingers and feet. I have to wear fuzzysocks and a pair of gloves on my walks and bike rides now. Winter is going to be crazy, lol.

Century Club and Onederland in month 7!!
Many years ago I lost a great deal of weight and was constantly cold. Everywhere. I couldn't keep warm.
My friend, who had WLS Surgery about 2 1/2 years ago wears layers upon layers of clothes even in summer. She's always cold.
I think it's a by-product of no insulation. :)

I was always hot pre-op too and thought it was menopause/perimenopause. But since surgery, I get colder faster, which is fine, but my extremities are like blocks of ice. If my feet touch my legs while I'm sleeping the shock of the cold feet wakes me up. I have to wear fuzzy socks to bed and it's only Fall; don't know what I'll do come winter, lol.

I have heard this is a very popular thing. Your body is used to having a thick layer of fat over most of your body for years!
icoeesonally hope the coldness happens to me after losing weight. I'm almost 300lbs and 5'2 and any activity makes me hot. I start dripping sweat just from vacuuming my apartment. Lol
