Good job Bojangles, getting as much as you can.

I am hoping the vanilla is better.

I may not be there yet, but I'm closer than I was yesterday!

Congrats on getting back to work and meeting your protein goals!! It's not easy and I'm struggling with the protein shakes too.

I noticed last night that there was a harder area to the right of one of my incisions. It freaked me out too. It's the only incision I have that's still bleeding a tiny bit and very bruised. Maybe scarring? I'm no help but if you find anything else let me know!

Keep up the good work and take care! :)

Ok, please do! I'm sure it nothing major but with all our bodies have been through it is best to bring it up and get some looking into and reassurance. Good luck!

So little lumps and bumps under incisions seems to be fine as long as they are not weeping or leaking anything. if you have questions go to the doctor but mine were fine. the muscle is healing and there is scar tissue under the skin that makes for some lumps

for me at least no problem!

Thanks for letting me know!!! I think scar tissue makes sense too.

A 3 oz serving of chicken breast has 27 grams of protein packed into 140 calories. The ultimate perfect weight loss food.

Hemp is ok in moderation. 4 tbs gives you 240 calories and 15 grams of protein. Ok, but not a superstar. Make sure you're not preparing a home made 400 calorie low protein shake that will not keep you full for long.

You are all very early out so I completely understand trying to find something that works.

Just be careful as you progress that you optimize your protein/calorie ratios.

Right now you will lose regardless of what you consume. Please transition to real dense protein as you can and watch high calorie home made protein shakes.

How about some chicken breast pureed with broth. Go to GNC and get some sampleS of various protein shakes. You'll eventually find one that satisfies your palate.

Good luck to all of you

I should get some chicken. and some ground beef. they both seem to taste really good.

I value your advice and thankyou for it.

Cheers

Try not to overdo it at work; hopefully they'll understand that you just had major surgery. Wow, it's awful of them to expect you to stay 5 extra hours on your first day back.

I was OK with the premier protein. I didn't love it, or even really like it, but I forced it down. I still have it in my decaf or herbal tea. The vanilla tastes nice in ginger root tea (to me). I had to go on full liquids for an extra 2 weeks, so that wasn't fun, but I really like the stats on the premier protein. It had the lowest calories/carbs and highest protein in comparison with the other brands I looked at.

I had some expensive organic whey isolate made from pasture fed cows, lol, and it was awful. I had lots of samples from Canadian Protein but they were sickly sweet and I couldn't deal with them post op. I would have liked to have tried the brand that sells a chicken soup flavoured protein powder but I had already spent too much on powders i didn't like so decided against it after reading the reviews (some liked it but others said it was way too salty).

I know it's hard, but this stage goes by quickly and soon it will just be a memory. Hang in there; you've got this.
