HRH booking surgeries for APRIL 2018...7 month wait!

so I finally got approved by the trio and internest, but when I called Dr. Starr's office they informed me they're now booking into April. OMG, FML. Anyone else recently book a date or hear anything similar? If so, when is yours booked for at HRH? Btw I called Guelph and the said they're only taking transfers from TWH otherwise I'd have to start again.

Nooooooooooooo! Did you ask if they have a cancellation list? I don't even see the trio until the end of November, it's going to be ages before I get a date :(

I asked them to put me on the cancellation list and the nurse replied "As you know we have a lot to prepare for surgery, so cancellations are difficult." :((((((

i signed threw the program sept 2016 and I'm booked in for surgery feb 2018 with dr Starr

It may not be the hospital, it could be your surgeon's availability.

I booked with Dr. Klein on Sept. 12 and got an Oct. 11 date. At that time he also had time slots for November and December.

Fingers crossed you can get in earlier. The closer we get, the more agonizing the wait.

I had an issue with Dr Starr booking for months down the road. You can wait or call the clinic manager and ask if there are any other surgeons with sooner openings.

In Aug Dr. Starr was booking for December. Due to my boss going away on mat leave, I would have had to wait a year to be able to take the amount of time needed to recover.

They got me in with Dr. Huynh and he had a cancellation for 3 weeks out. I am now 15 days post-op!!!!

Dont give up! Check your options!!! And call the clinic manager.
