Cold soup

This might seem like a silly post but in order to get my flavourless protein powder not to clump I need to cool soup down significantly before adding it. Then by the time I eat it it's luke warm which isn't very appetizing to me. Is this another thing I have to just get used to or is there a work around I'm missing? I want my soup hot!

I have a mug warmer but also a little rascal of a son who will pull the cord.

Hi eLoon77

I usually put my protein powder in first and mix and then warm it up on the stove.

I didn't know that worked! I thought it had to be cooled to 140 degrees before you could add it.

How much powder to say 1/2 cup of soup?

Could you blend it with an immersion (stick) blender? or would that create too many air bubbles?

I'm finding blending does add air. Both blenders and even whisking fluff stuff up too much at this point. I still whisk the protein but have to be careful you know?

Are we talking about canned soup you heat up or making soup from scratch? If the first then if just add the protein powder before heating, but if you're making it from scratch you could probably slurry it like you do with flour and mix it separately with cooler liquid and then add it to the pot.

Right now I'm in the liquid phase (TWH) so I can't have my homemade soup until after week 2. So it's canned at this point. I thought you couldn't heat the powder but that's great if you can. Thanks!
