SHOCK AND AWE! Taking before pics.... and surviving it!
Hello my glorious friends! ;-)
My Guelph journey continues...
Friday I had the nurse's visit with a beautiful nurse aptly named Vivacious (Heather is her real name). She was incredible and took a significant amount of time running me through all the information again...and spending time listening patiently to my diatribe about invisibility and anxiety at the orientation sessions.
Today I had my dieticians visit... who was absolutely a sweetheart! Every time I said the word "fat" .... she said "abundant".... hahahahhahahaha!!! She was so empathetic and caring... that I felt like I would be letting HER down if I didn't follow the food recommendations! Sooooo very positive... even if I had to get up at 4:30am to get to an 8:30am appointment (such a baby whiner I am!)
Tomorrow is the Social Worker.... so things are moving along quite nicely!
Now... for the Question O' the Day! Has anyone taken "Before" pics???
I'm still undecided about the documentary... but I figure I should take "BEFORE" pics/video... with minimal clothing on... for my own purposes and motivation. I set up the camera and literally took shots turning in a circle so I'd get the 360 view. As a good friend from the east coast once said.... HOLY JUMPIN' BALD HEADED BABY JESUS!!! WHAT A SLAP IN THE FACE!!!! HORRIFYING!!! Is it just me that didn't realize just how "abundant" I actually was????
Am I alone in this experience????

The last time I saw a photo of myself caught off guard I started sobbing. You don't realize how big you are sometimes. I am not looking forward to taking one.
I will start vlogging, put them all together then upload it :) probably 6-12 months from now

I had a friend take before pics a few days before I started Optifast, and I was shocked @ how big I was. Still to this day I look at them and cannot believe how my mind would not allow me to see my size when I looked in the mirror.
Good news is ...
The scale is moving in the opposite direction these days.
Best of luck to you

I did. I have been wearing the same outfit and standing in the same spot. It's definitely eye opening and really motivating.
