When did you get your energy back?
I am pretty sure it was within a month of surgery. My energy levels climbed like crazy being stuck in the house. Those walks they encourage us to take were great in terms of me burning some of the energy off.
Now, my neighbors (two women) Love having me around. I am building them fences, cutting the hedges..etc just to:
A- Help them out and
B- Burn energy. LOL
for me it was between 4-6 weeks.
I found an old post I wrote about not remembering the last time I napped, and that was 6 weeks out.
Healing is hard on the body, just let yourself rest when you are feeling wiped. It will all be a distant memory soon enough.

Thanks. Yeah, I think I overdo it on days I feel energy or have commitments and then am overtired on others. I overdid it for so many days, I think it's catching up with me. It's so hard to find time to rest! I need to make it a priority though... and like you said, understand that it takes time to heal.
Thanks!

Century Club and Onederland in month 7!!
I felt both energised and exhausted for the first month or so. I had days where I felt great, and days where I wanted to stay in bed all day. After walking for an hour, I'd come home and fall asleep sitting up. Any activity totally wiped me out.
Then my energy levels increased and I was swimming, walking, or riding my bike every day. Now at 7 and a half months out, I'm exhausted again, but I've had bronchitis for 3 weeks and a flu the week before (that triggered it) so I'm hoping that's why.

Yikes at falling asleep sitting up. You know you push yourself too hard when!
I think I expect, and others expect, because i was able to do more last week and the week before, that I should be able to maintain it... or that I should be "further ahead" three weeks out. I'm so used to being independent and go go that this is hard.
But I am resting and will accept.
I hope you're feeling better soon. Being sick is so not fun.
