3 Week Post Op/ Hospitalization
on 9/17/17 8:07 am
Hi All,
Missed my 3 week post op update! Last Monday was about the 6th day I had felt like crap. Dry heaves, foamie vomits, headache, couldn't get my fluids in. Id get back on the fluid train and I would feel crappy again. For 2 days I could barely even get my head off the pillow. I thought wow this recovery is horrible or im a wussy. I know ppl speak of burps, foamies and rough few days but I was nearly 3 wks out!
I did contact surgeon, he was aware and sent a script for new PPI! At that point I was too far gone already. I couldnt handle the heaving anymore and Sylvia was very angry!
Off to ER I go on Wed my 3 wk post op day!
Severly dehydrated, malnourished, electrolytes all over the place and blood pressure barley registered at 90/58.
I am writing this from the hospital! I am still here. IV fluids, electrolytes back, being fed through IV TPN. Still sipping clears too. Sylvia has been checked and double checked, she is great! They figure the hernia repair that I also had done may be too tight or have small spot where air is getting which it shouldnt. Scope this week and hope to be home and start my recovery again!
This has been a very rough go for me and I just wanted to let you all know so everyone is aware that each person has a personal experience with W L S and were all different. I just want this to be an awesome decision but its hard rn with everything going on!
Last check I was down 45lbs which is too much too soon.
Congrats to all who joined the losers bench this month! All the best! Eyes on the prize
